Example: Pouring
Measuring
1. Pour resin and hardener 1:1 by volume (or 1:0.9 by weight) into a mixing cup. Wear nitrile gloves when working with resin.
Mixing
2. Mix the measured amount in the mixing cup using a plastic spatula. Stir slowly and carefully, including the bottom and sides of the mixing cup. After three to five minutes, your mixture is ready.
You now have 30–45 minutes to process your resin. After that, it will begin to cure.
3. For coloring, divide the resin into separate mixing cups, one for each color. Mix in your selected colorants using a stirring stick.
Applying
4. You have already prepared your surface: it is dust-free, degreased and placed level on your work surface.
5. Pour your colored resin onto the surface. Your composition determines the placement and required amount of each color. Resin spreads on its own on a smooth, level surface, but you can assist with a spatula.
To create exciting effects, use a heat gun to push differently colored resin into each other.
6. SUPERCAST forms very few bubbles. You can remove these using the heat of a Bunsen burner or heat gun. Move in sweeping motions about ten cm above the resin surface.
7. Protect your artwork from dust or other foreign particles. Work in an environment that is as dust-free as possible. Cover your piece once you are finished.

What to consider when working with epoxy resins
Our epoxy resins are made from the most modern and safest epoxy chemicals. Responsible and safe handling of synthetic resins means:
• Wear nitrile gloves and a respirator mask.
• Work in a well-ventilated room.
• Avoid skin contact (wash individual components or mixed resin off skin thoroughly with plenty of water and soap).
• If resin, hardener or mixed resin gets into your eyes: rinse with cold water for about 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately.
• Do not drink, eat or smoke while working.
• Added materials may change your resin: these include inks, varnishes, mica powders and glitter. When using these materials, your resin is no longer non-toxic.
• When using alcohol inks: do not use an open flame to remove bubbles. Alcohol is flammable.
